Seeraga Samba
-
Seeraga Samba is the "Prince of Rice" in Tamil Nadu. Named for its resemblance to Cumin seeds (Seeragam), this fine-grained, aromatic white rice is the heart of the legendary Dindigul and Ambur Biryanis. Unlike long-grain Basmati, Seeraga Samba is prized for its ability to absorb rich flavours while maintaining its distinct shape and non-sticky texture.
Nelvita Promise: 100% Pure & Natural. No polishing agents, artificial aromas, or preservatives.

- Energy Booster: A great source of complex carbohydrates that provide a steady release of energy throughout the day.
- Antioxidant Properties: Packed with phytonutrients that help fight inflammation and protect the body’s cells.

Cooking Instructions
To achieve the perfect fluffy texture and unlock the natural aroma:
- Rinse: Gently wash the rice 2-3 times until the water runs clear.
- Soak: Soak for 20–30 minutes (do not over-soak, as the grains are delicate).
- Cook (Open Pot): Use a 1:2 rice-to-water ratio. Bring to a boil, then simmer until water is absorbed.
- Cook (Pressure Cooker): Use a 1:1.5 rice-to-water ratio and cook for 2 whistles on a medium flame.
- Rest: Allow the rice to rest for 5 minutes before fluffing with a fork.
